It appears that when a search category is specified, all sub-categories are included by default.

Can a search category be specified so as not to include any of the subcategories beneath it?

Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Not currently. The only way to fake that is to go into the Advanced Search Options and specify to "Only search in categories" and then give it a list of the sub-categories you *do* want it to search, leaving out the sub-categories you don't want it to search.

Actually you can probably help clear something up.
If a category X has sub-categories A, B and C, is it possible to place an item in category X without placing it in on of the sub-categories?
In which case, there's no (current) way around that problem.
