With the new beta, the "Close All Sieves" is not working properly. I get a individual dialog box for each open sieve that I have to individually click to close.

I also keep getting a message that " "" is ending in 0 minutes. Do you want to view it?" (for ebay 120948340435)

Let me know if you need any other information.

The dialog is a new confirmation option.
You can turn it off by going to
Tools->Options...->General tab
and turn off
Ask for confirmation when Closing a Tab

Regarding the message, do you have a watchlist item with a blank title?

With the new beta, I am getting several items on the Watchlist with blank titles, gobbledygook in the price column, and show completed time equal to 'last refreshed' time. If I tick the box and refresh, they return to normal.

Also, Nev, while you're fixing bugs, for a long time I have been getting results in the price field for BIN items that read words instead of dollars (i.e. dates or "Add to cart", or "Original Price)

Thanks for all your work!

Ok, I'll have a look.
I made a change to the interpretation of the price and bid info but I've obviously got more work to do.

Could you give me some example items and searches?

Here are some item numbers with blank titles:

160844689934
400309778728
110916537171
400308967802
290744177587

These are in Watchlist results, not search results.

"Regarding the message, do you have a watchlist item with a blank title?" --

Answer: Yes. I deleted the auction with a blank title in the Price History and the "" is ending in 0 minutes message is still appearing. Each time I respond to show it to me, it comes up listing a different auction.

Ok, first of all, this is an intermittent thing - try selecting the items in the Watchlist and hit Refresh.

eBay randomly returns different pages for the items - sometimes the old one that works, sometimes the new one.

I was able to make it happen with one of those item numbers - both the good and 'bad' page so I'll be able to figure out what's going on and put out a fix. But you'll have to wait another night...

Walt, does quitting and restarting AuctionSieve help at all?
If not, send me your watchlist.txt and pricehistory.txt files

I think I've fixed the watchlist problem.
Testing required!
Latest beta is available.

Hi Nev,

2.5.8.5 is better (2.5.8.4 was pretty bad in this respect!), but unfortunately the watchlist still has errors.

261070581571 - Price box contains "Your max bid: By clicking Confirm bid, you commit to buy this item from the seller if you are the winning bidder. .vib .bt {line height: 1;} (£21.00)"

280923038852 - Price box contains "GBP 0.99 Approximately US $1.56"

271019457814 - Price box contains "GBP 0.99 Approximately US $1.56"

380455533469 - Price box contains "GBP 3.00 Approximately US $4.71"

221074457230 - Price box contains "GBP 5.00 Approximately US $7.85"

160847997069 - Price box contains "GBP 10.50 Approximately US $16.49"

120951417718 - Price box contains "GBP 0.99 Approximately US $1.56"

Selecting these items and refreshing fixes all but the first one above.

Kind Regards
Andrew

Hi, Nev!

Andrew is right. That Watchlist is improving, but still has some glitches. I also have similar issues as Andrew. These are BIN auctions with no apparent end date. The Price column has verbiage such as "Your max bid" and "Add to cart"

251001652934
400255953683
110724079383
120848791499

Checking and refreshing does not fix these items on my list.

Thank you,
Jeanine

Hi Jeanine,

The no apparent end date (it's shown blank) is not necessarily a problem with Auctionsieve. For certain "Good 'till cancelled" buy-it-now items, ebay no longer reports an end date. AS just leaves these dates blank for this reason.

But the strange results you are getting in the Price column are incorrect!

Kind Regards
Andrew

Grab the latest beta.
Hopefully that's the last...

Sorry, Nev. Hate to be the bearer of bad news. 2.5.8.6 update didn't do anything for my BIN auctions. Here are some auction #'s:

180477958576
110724079383
251001652934
120848791499
221009236144
221009234135
400255953683

The result in the price column is the same in each:

Your max bid: By clicking Confirm bid, you commit to buy this item from the seller if you are the winning bidder. .vib .bt {line-height: 1;} (US $2.99)

Checking and refreshing still doesn't change anything.

Thanks for your terrific program and hard work Surprised)

Jeanine
