PostPosted: Thu Jun 23, 2005 4:13 pm    Post subject: Broken Catch Word Weighting? Reply with quote

Have been using AuctionSieve for 2 weeks and quite like it. I was especially pleased with the functionality of catch word weighting. However, it seems that this function is no longer working.

I was tooling around with it yesterday and all of a sudden all my weighting disappeared. I checked to make sure that weighting was still enabled under Tools > Options > Sieve Actions. I untoggled, saved, and retoggled to no avail.

Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? I suppose I can reinstall to see if that fixes it but then I'll loose my saved sieves, no?

If this had sniping functionality you would greatly increase your sandwich money...

Thank for the great freeware. I do place a few bids via Auction Sieve in order to keep the dimes rolling in.

Do you get any sort of error popping up when you try to load the program/sieve? And does it happen on all your sieves or just one?

No error on load howver, I believe it generated a one time error when weightng stopped working. I failed to save it though. Can I retrieve it in a log file somewhere?

Weighting on all sieves is down. When I command click I only have the option to delete the catch word.

Using Mac OSX 10.3.9

I'll poke around to see if I can find a log file.

Regards.

Nah - there's no log file.
If you look in the folder where you installed AuctionSieve you'll see a bunch of .sieve files and an auctionsieve.properties file.
If you zip all those up and send them to me I could try to figure out what's going on.

Problem fixed in latest beta - 1.7.3.1
It occurred when you rearranged the Catch Word columns.

Thanks for the debug info Rory!
