I am in the process of creating a new user on one of my Macs running 10.4.9. When I launched Auctionsieve for the firs time in the new user I kept getting this message over and over again:

AuctionSieve version 1.8.7

java.io.FileNotFoundException: ebayitem.html (Permission denied)

	at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method)

	at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:179)

	at hashbang.auctionsieve.itemdb.WatchListPanel$1.run(Unknown Source)

	at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:613)

The appplication looked like I expect it to look and worked normally except for having to close the messages as I worked in the application. I tried eliminating the history thinking this might be the source of the problem. I have not yet relaunched to see if I continue to get these messages. Any suggestions on how to correct this if it continues the next time I launch AuctionSieve? Thank you. |

It means that the new user doesn't have permission to write to the folder where AuctionSieve is installed.

If you give that user administrator privileges, the problem should go away. I really need to revisit where AuctionSieve stores its data... |
