I am going to be traveling and would like to use the current Auctionsieve settings on my laptop. When searching my hard disk for auctionsieve I find only two folders, one in my home folder and one buried in library>mail>Local-(null)@(null)>post>auctionsieve.mbox. I tried moving both of these files from my iMac to my Powerbook, but it did not change the auctionsieve filters on my Powerbook. How can I move the current settings from my iMac to my Powerbook (both running 10.4.11). Thank you.

If I understand your question right, I think you may find your answer in the thread on this forum entitled "moving to new computer" which had it's last entry on July 11th, a few weeks ago. It's about how to install AS on a computer and keep all the settings you had on another computer. I say "may" because that thread is about (my) Windows computers, but my guess is that the information in that thread remains the same for a Mac, or can be easily translated into the Mac world.

On a mac, all the settings/sieves/filters are currently stored within the application icon itself.

So there are 2 potential ways.

1. Copy the application icon across. (This will overwrite anything on the other computer if you replace an existing icon.)

2.
- Control click the AuctionSieve icon and select "Show Package Contents" from the pop-up menu
- Navigate to the Contents->Resources->Java folder
- these are the files you're looking for
- copy them across to the same location on your other mac
