I want to search for ALL items by a particular seller.

A "New Sieve" requires one to fill in something in the search field to create a new sieve. I put a letter, say "a", in the search field and then specify the seller ID, say "berkshirehold" under "Show advanced search options" to complete the sieve. Once completed, I go to that sieve tab, select "Options" and then erase the letter "a" in the search field.

When I first press "Get Auctions", I get a zero result. However, if I continue to press "Get Auctions" several times, say 5 to 15, then eventually the correct list of items for that seller appear.

Questions:
(1) Is there a better way to set up a seller only search for a new sieve than the method described above?

(2) Once the existing sieve is edited to remove any search value, why does the search result not immediately find all items associated with that seller?

Essentially, AuctionSieve does not handle a "Include Seller" search the same way that eBay does. I have checked the forum and have not found a listing specifically addressing how to set up a "Inlcude Seller" search correctly.

Thanks.

Hi,

I've had a look at this. It works somewhat randomly because eBay are transitioning to new pages and will randomly use the old or new method. The way I query eBay requires you enter a search term of at least 2 characters.

They have a new system for specifying how to get results from a single eBay seller. This is the kind of thing where I'd rather not write a bunch of code for this new system when AuctionSieve 2 is going to be using an entirely different system again (the ebay api) to get these kinds of results. Hope you can wait for me...
