I've been having trouble getting AS v2.5.7 working the last few days. I finally got AuctionSieve 2.5.7 to mostly work with the following method.

I tried various reloads of the program etc. But each time I went to the AS site to get the download I did not get the setup with Jre in it because I could see the jre subfolder etc on my hard drive. I finally decided to try the jre download figuring that maybe the jre folder on my hard drive was messed up. And it was mentioned in the error messages I was getting when starting AS.

I downloaded the jre.exe file, made sure that all my attempts of loading AS were removed from my registry with three different reg cleaners, rebooted and then installed AS again. Vola! it now finds auctions.

When I select an auction to view either by clicking on the picture or "view" nothing happens.

I then went to Tools/Options/Browser in AS and ran the 6 different methods for checking the browser. Methods 1, 4, 5, and 6 work OK but 2 and 3 don't respond. I use FireFox V10.0 as the browser and it is set as the default browser. My OS is Windows 7, 32 bit.

Here is the information from the browser menu,
-----------
Java version = 1.6.0_29
Operating System = windows 7
is at least java 1.6 = true
passes vista test (java 1.6 & vista) = true

Go to Tools->Options...->Browser tab

and uncheck
"Force creation of new browser window when clicking View"

(Then it will use method 1.)

Unfortunately, if you click a 'View All' link it still won't work. To make that work as well, tick "Always use Old Skool launcher"
