Hi Nev,
More ebay changes?
Listing titles are now being prefixed with the above ("Click this link to access") in sieve results. It disappears in the watchlist - I'm mainly searching ebay.co.uk but it may be a worldwide thing.
Thanks

I am getting the "Click this link to access" same prefix to all listings and find it particularly annoying. It is my hope it can be removed soon. It is obvious that the link can be accessed by a click for the auction listings. _________________ The half of all knowledge is to know where to find knowledge. |

On a related note - I don't understand how such a change can show up in Auction Sieve without an update being run and loaded???? _________________ The half of all knowledge is to know where to find knowledge. |

Hi RBryson,
As the risk of pre-empting Nev, it will almost certainly be an ebay change. AS knows where on the page to find the text it displays to the end user. If ebay change what text is in that location, AS knows no better (until Nev fixes it!) and displays what ebay have put there...

Andrew - I appreciate your comment.
I thought the same thing - that eBay had changed something. I went to eBay directly and did not see the phrase on the listings there.
I guess it is my hope that no matter how this phrase has shown up that Nev will eliminate it. _________________ The half of all knowledge is to know where to find knowledge. |

And yeah, eBay made a change.
If you go to eBay and hover your mouse over the link to an item in the search results, you'll see it pop up with "Click this link to access ...." |

Hi Nev,
Unfortunately the beta does not fix the bug entirely. Click this link to access has gone, but...
I assume you are using inverted commas somewhere to detect the end of a string... Thus listings with inverted commas in the title get their title truncated.
e.g.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321259255763
listing title shows up as 18
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261338001650
listing title shows up as 13.8
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271330003095
listing title shows up completely blank
Any chance the next beta could look at the german site issues as well please?
Kind Regards
Andrew |

Unfortunately other (related?) issues with the beta too.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231103212592
comes up in the sieve results as
<span class="new">Newly listed</span>"Top Gear" 9780563539193, HardCover, BRAND NEW
I'm guessing either an inverted commas issue, or something to do with the Newly listed tag. |
