Lots of errors returning in category searches. "eBay is returning error pages or pages I can't interpret, for category..."
Been going on for a week or so. I spend my whole session clicking YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES until the categories are done pulling results.
Is there a way to get AS to not give up quite so easily? |

Don't worry.
I think I've fixed it.
Give it a try! |

Hi Nev,
Great work, the fix sorts the problem. Thank You!
Unfortunately the beta 2.6.6.1 introduces a very minor issue, if it's a New Listing I get the text "New Listing" added to the auction title at the end...
Thanks
Andrew
EDIT - I'm also getting quite a few "Premature EOF" errors... |

THANK YOU, NEV !
Now everything works fine again !
It is a awesome job you do with auctionsieve !
And i feel somewhat guilty using it for free.
A little question to NEV and all other users: Wouldn't it be good to have a paypal button on the main website to give something back to NEV ?
Just a small donation...
You see, in this money-greedy world free (and excellent) apps like auctionsieve are sadly rare. It would make me happy to donate some EURos for NEV.
What do you think ? |

OUCH
It seems this beta 2.6.6.1 still has some problems !
It generates again "eBay is returning error pages or pages I can't interpret..." when i am starting the search i described at the bottom of this post..
I have some "big searches" configured. Maybe i should better explain that i am a watch collector and have sometimes a fuzzy imagination of what could be interesting or not. This way i hunt down the interesting categorys available, off course i have also lots of "Trash Words" in my list. Whatever, since my search is somewhat fuzzy the searches most of the time generate 10.000+ results most of the time.
Is the number of results the problem, or has the current beta 2.6.6.1 still a problem ?
Here is one example for you to try NEV if you have some spare time:
- ebay is germany - ebay.de
- Time frame is 2 days
- Search term is "uhr digital casio seiko orient piratron microma pulsar anker timex timeton" (any of these words)
- I have furthermore activated in this search:
"Search title and description"
"Only search in category: 1"
"Condition: Used and Unspecified"
THANKS |

Thanks, I'll look into these.
Also, I've set up this Trello board to keep track of issues and development.

Hi Nev,
I have signed up to Trello, it looks quite useful. Is the plan that we still raise new issues and ideas here - because all I can do at the moment is comment against posts you have already made? I cannot, for example, add an "idea" for a new feature.

Yeah, only I'm allowed to add new cards.
Perhaps we could start a new topic here for people to raise ideas and I'll add them.
I know I've already got the feature request thread but it might be better to start fresh. That way, we'll only add what currently active users want. |

Andrew, are you still getting the "New Listing" at the end of auction titles?
If so, can you give me an example search that exhibits the problem? |

Ulf, are the errors still happening for that search?
I've just tried it and couldn't replicate the problem. |
