Yeah, I'm getting the second one again, with the ridiculously long number string.

I thought I'd made it go away by deleting my temporary files (via Disk Cleanup), and it did.

But it's back this morning.

EDIT to add: I ran AS on my secondary laptop, got that big error, forced AS to close, ran Disk Cleanup, and it ran w/o the error the next time.

thanks for the reply. Yes, the string is waaaaaay to long. Do you hav any ideas of what is going on. My sieves are larger but this only started happening a week ago.

I have almost nothing in Disk Cleanup Sad

Well, Nev is going to have the real solution. But I've found, like we were talking about, Disk Cleanup seems to work.

Run it before your AS session. If you have 2 drives (C, D, etc), it'll need to be the one AS uses (probably C). There are a number of check boxes. Make sure "Temporary Files" (near the bottom of the list) is selected, and run Cleanup.

Sorry for the delay in getting to this.
Should be able to get to it tonight.

BTW kraftwerk, thanks for the image - I can see something in that UnknownHostException that gives me a lead.

Also sorting out a new release of AS for mac (because High Sierra doesn't like it).

I've added them to the Trello board:

Regarding the long number, that occurs when AS is trying to figure out the total number of pages.

That generally means there have been some changes to the page format.

I haven't been able to replicate it myself.

Can you guys give me the details of your searches that produce these errors.

And also, even better, when it next occurs, send me the most recently created file in your tmp dir - ie some location like
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\AuctionSieve\tmp
or on a mac at
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/AuctionSieve/tmp

I receive many errors where the search is too large. I usually say no for continuing. Wish it could default to no or create a file so I can fix manually later.

https://imgur.com/a/LzStP

when this large search error occurs within AS I say no... get five errors of the 1st image I posted. The other error with the larger string occurs at random (or so it seems)

Thanks for those.
Those appear to be ok.

What I need is a file from when the error occurs.

Ie, as soon as that error pops up (the one with the long number), go and grab the latest file from that tmp directory and send it to me.

I can not do that since the program keeps running but I am unable to close it properly. I have to crash the program when that error comes up
