Is there a limitation to the number of characters allowed in a search? Ebay's advanced search feature cuts it off at roughly 240 characters. That may be a limitation of their interface. What about auctionsieve - any limitations on how may characters ebay will accept from an auctionsieve query? |

Yeah, the limit is actually due to URL size limits - somewhere around 256 characters. So you may not even get 240 characters of search term if you've specified a whole bunch of other options.
AuctionSieve has the same limits - it's effectively just constructing the appropriate URLs for you and thus has the same size issues. |
