Thanks for the Chance to Vote - Great Software

First Set - Really would like to see: Very Happy

W29 - cache images of auctions added to watchlist - particularly good for dialup users - also for price history maybe
Exclamation Certainly would like to have the images in price history - which means they would have to be local Exclamation

F12 - add "ignore previously seen" that works across all sieves

W18 --- Refresh Watchlist every 15 minutes if in last 24 hours, 5mins in last hour, 30 secs in last 5 mins

W28 - ability to import from ebay watchlist

Similar to Sv1 - Allow building of a new sieve by adding together existing sieves.

S8 - search stores

F10 - allow nested filters

Second Set - Nice to Have: Smile

Sv3 - export/import/copy of sieve
S3 - seller id search/include/exclude
Cat1 - add dynamic way to deal with specific sub-categories, eg Fiction, ie allow further drill down
F13 - option to make catch words override trash words
R12 - export/import/save/load of results
T12 - sort by multiple columns
W19 -- notification if bids changed or other criteria
P7 - ability to exclude stuff from price history queries/averages
Etc2 - download exchange rates from somewhere and use them for price comparisons

Hi Nev
My votes, in order are:
Main 1 ... now up and running ... thanks Nev
S11 - search for completed items,
F10 - allow nested filters,
S17 - save last several search results automatically,
and then ...
T1 - make tables more dynamic - allow to specify which columns to display (and in what order),
Sv6 - ability to specify a group - to allow hierarchy of menus under sieve list
W16 -- specify just a period to refresh all.

... but even as it is, it is streets ahead of the competition Nev.

Yeah. To my knowledge, Auction Hunter <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/29054> is the best of the competition. But although it has a very slick interface, it doesn't have half the features that AuctionSieve does.

W2, F3, and R8 are the ones I've found I've been needing.

Hi... juts found your product and it is almost exactly what I've been looking for. I need to collate reports from ebay data, so export functions are key for me:

Here are my votes !

S8 S11 and S18
R4 and R12
and finally W35

Of the all I would vote for R12 several times if possible!

votes:

W14 -- yes! i need this so bad!
S11 - would be nice
W2 - yep, would be good
S16 - if that's what i think it is -- meaning to search results would include "seerch" and "serch" for "search"?
CAT1 - there has got to be a good way to deal with Ebay's loser system of lumping all the Fiction books into one big stupid category!
R4 - yes please
P4 - yes, or something related to grouping, so that auctions can be related for averages that don't necessarily contain the exact wording

I absolutely love the software!!! The new stores support is a welcomed addition!!!! Here are my suggestions.

Sv6 - ability to specify a group - to allow hierarchy of menus under sieve list
F13 - option to make catch words override trash words
S16 - advanced typo searches
W12 -- snipe price -----You could call it something like "worth," "value," or anything to get around ebay's policy to sniping
T1 - make tables more dynamic - allow to specify which columns to display
W14 - ability to add notes to watchlist/price history item
S11 -- search for completed items

Nev-

First off, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!

I have been using auctionsieve for a little over a year now.

Your program honestly saves me 5 hours a week!!!!!! In order to explain how intensely I use Auctionsieve...during a typical week I look at approximately 4,000 auctions through Auctionsieve, of which I end up opening about 1,500 of them through Mozilla. Of those 1,500 I watch about 200, bid on about half (100 of them), and win about half (50) EACH WEEK *so hopefully you are getting a good chunk of change from my usage through the affiliate program, you deserve it!

Okay, now that that is over...Here are the features that would be most useful to me (and hopefully everybody else out there):

S17 - save last several search results automatically, then Get auctions from (date/time 1 hour ago, 2 days ago, etc) or just load last/previous search results- *I have accidentally clicked the 'get auctions' button when I meant to click 'view' or 'clear', and POOF, my results are gone. Also, an automatic restart by another program or computer freeze has left me without that set of auctionsieve results. Mad

S18 - find items bid on by a user *this would be especially awesome if you could search international as well so that you could track what a user was bidding on in countries whose privacy laws prohibit ebay from sharing that information (i.e. Germany)...now that ebay has changed how/what you see of a user's current bidding practices, I feel like this request would be difficult/impossible for you to implement, but great no-less

W28 - ability to import from ebay watchlist *Along with this, it would be great if there were a button that could archive the completed auction listings that I was watching through ebay and actually save the complete webpage for that item number. This would basically provide me with a complete catalog of all the items I was interested at some point or another, great price history info as well! While the file size might be large, this would be awesome.

R5 - display count of items next to each catchword (both count in main results and absolute count (ie including trashed items)) *I often click the select all button within a given Catch word to see how many results there are, if there were a number next to the catch word in the catch word title line or next to the catch word in the side-bar, that would be nice and seems like the easiest of the requests on my wishlist

These are my second tier requests:
T9 - allow shift clicking to select range of checkboxes?
T11 - show View differently to indicate actually viewed
W5 -- feedback number of seller

1. To search bidder id in the bid history of both active or completed listings. I know that eBay does not show bidder id anymore for listings $200 or more but this feature should able to work for listings less than $200.

2. To support 64bit machine (not sure about this).

3. To search by a range like 100 - 110 so I don't need to enter 100, 101, 102, 103, ...

4. To search word like $1 so it will only return listings with title containing the word $1. I have tried AuctionSieve by entering $1 and selected exact phrase but it will return all the listings with 1 in the title.

Everyone - thanks for your votes.

@bjm27 - thanks for all the bids!

@peterc8888 -
1. I think that's S18 - find items bid on by a user
2. Should work on a 64bit machine without any problems - download the 64bit java runtime and use the smaller AuctionSieve installer
3. The best you can do with ebay's search is use a * - ie 10* will get all those numbers - downside is that it will get *all* numbers starting with 10, eg 10789
4. Unfortunately you can't do that with ebay either. Any 'punctuation' in an ebay search will match all punctuation

S11 -- search for completed items
W14 - ability to add notes to watchlist/price history item
S3 - seller id search/include/exclude
R4 - ability to update results (ie get again but add to results - don't blow away previous results, and display which are new)
W2 -- shipping/handling/postage - if not found allow user to insert
W31 - ability to set alarm audio file
P5 - dynamic graphing of price history - price over time
Lx1 - allow browser specification in options

~Grab the default picture if they haven't selected gallery option

Hi,

I use this excellent program quite some time now. The changes that really would make a difference to me are.:

F13 - option to make catch words override trash words
S17 - save last several search results automatically, then Get auctions from (date/time 1 hour ago, 2 days ago, etc) or just load last/previous search results

and I know that the next is a hard one, but I would love this function:
The ability make custom filters to adapt the program to any other auction site.

Regards,
Fabio
