|
|
My pc went belly up with Windows and refused to install that OS again. I am now using Linux in the form of Ubuntu Dapper.
The Linux problem of clicking on View resulting in no action happens to me and the fixes listed in the FAQs fire up Firefox but then it falls apart as Firefox cannot find the appropriate file. The error message says that it cannot find the file with the url
///home/jim/AuctionSieve/%22file:////home/jim/AuctionSieve/tmp/view01.html%22
which is not surprising really! I cannot find a way round this (apart from the obvious route of editing the URL) as my knowledge is not good enough.
Can anyone help to get my AuctionSieve working properly? I have tried installing AuctionSieve through Wine and CrossOver Linux but without success.
Many thanks in advance. |

I'm getting this at the moment, too. I'm launching AuctionSieve from the menu, using the command Code: | java -DBROWSER="firefox" -Xmx512m -jar /usr/local/jar/AuctionSieve/auctionsieve.jar | . I haven't altered the AuctionSieve.lax file. |

Solved this problem - see http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-411376.html. Basically, you need to set the browser option in System -> Preferences -> Preferred Applications to "Firefox" rather than "Custom". The field needs to read Note the lack of quotation marks - these are what cause the problem when they're present. |
