I getting a ton of error messages -- could be that eBay is changing something. |

I was getting numerous error messages until I un-installed Auction Sieve and re-installed it. It worked great for a few days and then EBay must have changed something because now I get one message that says Ebay is returning "error pages that I can not Interpret do you want to continue”.
If I say YES continue it stays there forever at 25%, if I say NO it finishes the search but fails to return what I am searching for.
Bottom line is Auction Sieve no longer works since I added the last Ebay upgrade. _________________ whooops |

Many "can't interpret" messages here since yesterday (10/31). Have used daily for a long time but never seen that one before. Seems obvious something has changed with eBay -- looking forward to a resolution. |

I, too, am getting these new messages. I run AS on a Mac. All worked perfectly yesterday.
The strange things is that I DO get several of my sieves reporting results.
None of the sieves that are using a specific catgegory worked this morning. It is only several of the sieves searching on a specific word or words that seem to have returned results.
This is a strange and particularly destructive change that
eBay apparently has made in its pages causing such a disruptive change in the excellent Auction Sieve’s functionality!
Please, Pleaes, let’s hope for a fix soon! |

I'm having exactly the same problem. One of my sieves is working fine -- but the others give me that error message, starting yesterday. ARG. |

Ahhh --
With some quick experimentation, I have found that the problem goes away if you unclick the "search title and description" option in each sieve. So it's something about that specific feature.
At least we can get SOME results, even if they'll be much less complete. I hope this problem gets fixed! Is the author of this program still active? |

I find that did not work for me. I actually had NONE of my sieves set to search titles and descriptions.... I was only searching titles for key words... so apparently you lucked onto a local fix! |

Well, it isn't perfect. I am still getting some of those errors, despite what I said earlier. But the only sieve I have that's still working perfectly has always been set to search only titles, and it did help with another very large sieve when I set it for titles only.
Very mysterious!
Does anyone know if AuctionSieve's author is still active? I noticed that some of the administrative-type posts ("what I'm working on" and so on) are very old. Is he/she still around? |

P.S. I'm on a Mac too. Could this be a Mac-specific problem?
What OS are you using? I have AS loaded on both 10.3.9 and 10.4.10 machines, but I have not actually run AS on 10.4.10 for some time. Maybe I'll give that a try too, just to check. |

I am on a PC using Win 2000 Pro and nothing is working right. Has anyone heard from the program owner or any info from what EBay did ?
SInce them will kill my purchases from EBay I would think they want it bask as it was before their change. _________________ whooops |

Same issue here. Looks like AuctionSieve is out of commission until a fix is made. |

Yo yo yo!
Yes - I'm still very much alive!
I got part way to a fix last week but have been too busy since then to get back to it. (Including doing exciting things like income tax - Australian income tax is due Oct 31)
I'll be working on it tonight!
You can expect a beta in the next 24 hours... |

Beta update works great. Thanks, Nev! *thumbs up*
Some users may not be aware that they need to go to Tools > Check for beta updates to get this fix. I normally just wait for the program to prompt for a regular update myself. |
