An odd problem, I cannot see anything newer than auctions ending in about 14 hours.
I press Get Auctions, its says 650 new ones with 50 new, but shows nothing, and turning off the ignore already seen button only shows auctions ending in 14 hours.
It happens on every filter, and I've tried deleting a filter and recreating, or removing the category limit but nothing fixed it. Is it possible ebay uk has changed somehow? |

i'm also experiencing similar bizarre behaviour - noticed it first a couple of days ago (5th Feb). No new auctions are being pulled in. I wonder if ebay uk is denying third party search apps? hope nev is onto this one! |

The uk site seems to be doing a funny redirect and for some unknown reason they strip out the parameter that controls the page number!
I've figured out a hack to get around this. Should be releasing a beta sometime in the next 12 hours. |

hey nev - thanks for the speedy fix for uk ebay changes. however, it is not now opening the selected auction pages in my browser! ( i use firefox, but this worked fine pre v1.8.8.1) Hope this isn't too much of a hassle to sort out. |

Ok, I'll revert the browser launch changes. I experienced some weirdness as well but I thought I'd put it out there in case it was just one of my firefox plugins causing the problems. You'll have to wait another 12 hours before I can do that.
BTW what are your settings in the Tools->Options->Browser tab?
And what OS and java version are you using?
Also, if you go to Help->Help and click on one of the links, do they work? |

Force creation... - checked
Use alternative... - unchecked
os: XP Home SP2 (Firefox v2.0.0.12)
Java: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
and the Help links all launch webpage/email client ok. |

Any Vista users out there - please let me know if it works! |

hooray - problems fixed . Thanks nev, for sorting the modifications so quickly, and for producing such a superbly useful and well designed program in the first place.
Can i suggest a feature you might consider including in the future? It would be useful to have a trash-picture filter along the lines of the trash-word filter, so that numerous postings with the same stock photo could be removed. Just a thought... |

Hello,
I am a vista user and I have not been able to receive any new auctions for the last couple of days.
All my sieves are blank as if there were no auctions.
Hope you can help.
Cheers

As of 10:53 9-3-2008 European time my sieve started working again normally.
Thanks Nev for a great programme and your continued support for it. _________________ Regards

JoeBananas - interesting idea about trashing pictures and it *may* be possible.
Just had a quick look at some result pages where a single seller is selling multiple items which are the same. The image urls are all different so filtering on that basis wouldn't work. But the images are ultimately the same so I could do some sort of checksum. Hmmmm. Could be slow... |
