|
|
I have a huge list of items (on excel) which i want to sieve but unfortunately it takes a long time to add them one by one...
I am looking for a way to take my excel list and create some massive sieve search tabs.
So... I have found what i think are the 16 possible search variables and added them to the bottom of an info.sieve file:
searchGetter.3.storeOption=Not including store items
searchGetter.3.excludeWords=
searchGetter.3.availableTo=
searchGetter.3.includeDescription=0
searchGetter.3.searchTerm=test sieve to see if manual add works
searchGetter.3.onlyPayPal=0
searchGetter.3.searchTermType=All of these words
searchGetter.3.categoryList=
searchGetter.3.locatedIn=3
searchGetter.3.quantityGreaterThanOne=0
searchGetter.3.minPrice=
searchGetter.3.maxPrice=11
searchGetter.3.ebaySite=uk
searchGetter.3.sellerExclusionIds=
searchGetter.3.onlyBIN=0
searchGetter.3.sellerExclusionOption=Exclude
The problem is that every time i open the sieve; the above search is not included and deleted from the info.sieve file as well.
Can anyone advise what i am doing wrong?
I should be able to give back an excel template to auto create sieves if i can get to the bottom of this...
thx

I've done it!
The easiest way is to:
1) create a new sieve
2) show advanced search options tab.
3)change the field which you want to keep constant in the first searh (i only wanted to select category and location).
4)keep pressing add another search until you have as many searches as you want
5)save and exit auctionsieve
6)open the info.sieve file and dump the text into excel
7)create some formulas to fill in the blanks (I can advise later if you want)
8)overwrite the original file with the new one
9)reopen auctionsieve
10)smile at the hours saved!
I have now created a search sieve of 500 items and I can edit the whole lot in minutes...
