Hello,

I have just been upgraded to Version 2 and all my saved sieves are gone (and we are talking years of work making trash words etc).

I have old backups so all is not lost however it would be nice to get the very last one back.

Is it the case that old saved sieves no longer work with the new version?

Is there anything I can do?

Cheers

Alan

Hi Alan,

Are you still on Vista or have you upgraded to Windows 7?

The files should be around somewhere.

Have a look through this thread for possible locations to look in :

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to me so soon.

I guess it is a case of just finding them (the saved sieves) and pasting them back into the root directory. Which I did, though the main Auction Sieve file was empty of all saved sieves after the upgrade I did a search of C drive and found the old files in C:......///virtualstore/Programfiles/Auctionsieve.

Anyway I copied them back into the Auctionsieve main directory and it all works again no problem at all.

Yes I still use Vista, I find that Vista is ok if you turn off the account monitoring feature, suddenly the computer feels like XP again.

After spending money just the other year to upgrade to Vista I am not going to do it again for Windows 7 until it is unavoidable.

That link you sent put me onto the right path.

Thanks
