OK I have succeded in geting things into the pirce history. Now I have hundreds of entries in price history and it is tracking prices of things that I am no longer interested in. How do I get it to stop entering data for terms that I am no longer interested in saving? I see that I can manually click the boxes to remove some of the histories with the remove button. Will this stop it from entering new data for that term?

It would really be nice if I were able to clkck on one box and then holding down the shift key and clicking on another box have all the boxes inbetween be checked (on the Mac platform). This would make it much quicker to remove groups of items. Thank you.

Good idea.
What I should probably do is add the Remove button to the bottom panel - so say you no longer want to track Nokia phones, you could just highlight the word nokia in an auction title, all the nokia items would appear in the bottom panel and then you could click the checkbox in the heading (the one that does a 'check all') and hit Remove.

As for stopping it entering, there's no way to do that! Any item in your watchlist that ends, automatically gets transferred to the price history. I kind of assume that if your watching some items then you would like to keep their price history. No?
