Hello everyone!
First of all, I would like to thank Nev for an outstanding piece of software!!! I really admire you and all the hard work you have put into this extremely useful app! You truly have a gift to be able to write code and produce such a great piece of software!
Anyway, I have had this software now for two days and still playing around with it to be able to get the results I want. Looking for a particular item that ultimately ends with zero bids, or a very low price. It happens all the time; I just somehow miss it every time with the tools that ebay gives me. What I want to know is this: What is the function of the "Catch Word"?? Is this where I can add in different ways of spelling a search term so I can attract more of the results that I want? For instance, if I wanted to search "Dell Inspiron 1720" and knew that many people have them listed as "New Dell Inspiron 1720", or "Dell Inspiron 1720 4GB" or Brand New Dell Inspiron Laptop 2 gb. If I add catch words that match all the different wording used, will I get more of the results that I want?? I want to see every Item on ebay that has to do with the main Item I'm looking for. I can then use the trash words, and other filters to filter out the junk.
Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to make myself clear. Thank you again for the wonderful product!!!
*****Last night I found out how to do exactly what I wanted the software to do, and it works perfect!! I cant believe it's this easy!! This is by far the most valuable piece of software that I own to date, and I have some expensive stuff!!!***** |

Thanks!
Can I use your last line as a quote on my website?
To add some clarity and just in case anyone else comes across this, here's some info about Catch words.
Firstly, the Catch words, Trash words and filters are all applied after the results have been retrieved from eBay.
Catch words help you group items together. If you created a Catch word "4GB" then all the Dell Inspiron items with 4GB in the title would be grouped under that Catch word. Note that once an item is 'caught' it won't appear in a Catch word grouping lower down. You can click and drag the catch words in the list to change the ordering. |
