It was working earlier today but now all 'view' links in the search results send me to the main ebay home page. Using Mac 10.6.4.

Same here. On a Mac, using 2.50. No matter how I approach opening an item it takes me to "ebay.com".
Yesterday it worked on the second click for almost all the links in AS.
Wanna bet eBay made a change, again? |

Can you test it again?
I just tried it on my mac and it worked fine. Tried all the various options and ebay sites.
We've seen this happen in the past - usually a short term glitch. |

I'm having the same problems, past 2 days. Using Windows 7 Pro.
UPDATE: Workaround. Added interested items to Watchlist. There I can access eBay auction number, add it to my eBay watches, then delete Watchlist entry. |

No change one day later.
All clicks still bring me to the ebay.com home page. |

Ok, let's try to figure this out.
In Tools->Options... what have you got for
- General tab->Default eBay site
- Browser tab->the 3 options
Also, what are the details of your searches?
In fact, this is the most likely problem area.
Eg category or search sieve? Which ebay site? What options - new today etc?
Also, perhaps relevant, where do you live?
PS Looking at the stats on my eBay Partner Network account, I can see that it's still working for most people - ie the number of people clicking through to eBay via AuctionSieve hasn't dropped down by any statistically significant amount. Which leads me to think there's something specific about your searches or environment. |

US-ebay.com. I also tried the UK site as default but I was also directed to that home page.
- Browser tab->the 3 options
All unchecked. Before my initial post today I tried the first box checked. No change. I then unchecked the first box and checked the second, No change.
Also, what are the details of your searches?
All searches cover the entire US site and include store results. No limits on time, vendors or categories. Some searches have results primarily in eBay motors but that does not change anything. I can see the full link in my browser but before it resolves, it suddenly switches to http://www.ebay.com and then loads. I was using Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as my primary DNS but changed them to my ISPs (Cox.net) US west coast server. It's been 15 minutes and I've tried again but still no change.
In fact, this is the most likely problem area.

I believe I answered this above. I have 10 active sieves covering a wide range of products but I do not have any category limits as sellers often mis-categorize items.
Has a re-installation ever resolved issues such as this?
Also, perhaps relevant, where do you live?
Irvine, CA

Tried again and got the same result. A delay with "rover" in the link (All I can read so quickly) then on to ebay.com.
Live in Las Vegas, NV USA.
Options>General>Default eBay site: US - ebay.com
Options>General>Browser: Currently all options are UNchecked. Also tried with ALL Checked and then combos... None worked.
Clicked through ALL the browser methods and ALL worked.
Checked GlimmerBlocker, disabled and no change.
Works this way for ALL items on all searches (12) none of the searches have been changed in 2 weeks. |

Sorry about that quoted reply...
My default browser is Firefox. It always has been. I tried Safari, no change. Opera does work correctly.
One of my terms is "Baldor". Yup, it's a big one - include stores, all categories, no exclusions.
There was a recent Firefox / Mac update but I don't recall the day.

When you say Opera works, do you mean, if you set it as the default browser, you don't get the problem? Ie the View links work? |
