|

None of my eBay motors Watchlist items have been updating lately. I have some items which were last updated 8 - 19 days ago even though everything else on the watchlist refreshes on launch.
Using AS 2.5.0 on a Mac. |

It may seem like piling on but since all I hear regarding this issue is crickets, the 'ignore auctions already seen' also appears to malfunction with eBay motors listings.
I cannot confine my searches to only certain eBay categories. If ANYONE has an idea how I can resolve this, I'd love to hear it. If Nev could at least confirm the issue, it would help me know it's the software and not a isolated issue or my installation only. |

Hmmmm, I've just tried searching for 'cam shaft', viewed some of the items to confirm they were on eBay motors, then added them to my watchlist and didn't see any issues.
Can you give me some example searches?
Also, is it a problem with completed items or all eBay motor items? |

My primary issue isn't searching eBay motors nor adding to the watch list, it's the inability to update any eBay motors items on the watch list. eBay motors items never update. Ever. Click the 'Refresh all' watch list button. All non-ebay motors items say they were refreshed <1m ago but AS skips over the listings in the ebay motors category. The bid price remains at whatever level was there when added to the watch list - even if it was 3, 4 or 7 days ago.
My secondary issue is that sometimes the same eBay motors appear in successive search results even though I set AS to 'ignore auctions already seen'. Unfortunately, it does not happen every time but I'm only seeing this phenomena w/ eBay motors items.

I only need to wait 2 minutes to see it's not updating. I added the item mentioned, waited 2 minutes, selected the item and clicked the "Refresh" button. Time since last refresh remains at 2 minutes.
I do not want to confuse this issue but another thing may be related. The item you suggested be added (260634321868) appears blank on my watch list. The item number is there but there is no title, price, or seller. The 'time left' column says "Unknown". This phenomena happens occasionally but usually after an auction has ended - the details of a previously watched item will suddenly become blank. Not a huge issue but does make it more difficult to track price histories.
As an added data point, none of the eBay motors items on my watch list include the seller name although all the other columns are populated with the correct data (except for the inability to be updated). |

The issue of not filtering previously seen eBay motors auctions remains troublesome. The 'Ignore auctions already seen' option remains permanently checked but I still see the same items again and again. The items in question are not re-listings - some of the 'newly found' auctions are obviously repeated with expiration times of less than 24 hours. I run the sieve twice each day, everyday.
Is there a method to clear a cache so the sieve behaves as intended? Is it recommended to create a new sieve with my current parameters to resolve the issue? Again, I only see this issue with eBay motors listings. All other categories obey the 'Ignore' parameter.
My search terms are convoluted, worldwide and I would prefer to not post them here as some items are in high demand and I would prefer to not invite competing bidders to share my efforts. |

I haven't been able to replicate what you're seeing.
Could you perhaps think of some other search term unrelated to your secret ones that exhibits the problem? |

I cannot imagine trying to search for alternative terms and tracking them. Far too time consuming for the issue at hand.
At the risk of taking this far off topic, I'm now noting the prices on eBay motors items in my watchlist now show inaccurate price/descriptions. Examples include:
a) "Your maximum bid:US $Place bidPlace bid" (180540675355)
b) "(Original priceUS $99.00)" (200481259377)
c) "Reserve pricenot metYour maximum bid:US $Place bidPlace bid" (190424712313)
Price weirdness in the watchlist has come and gone in the past but I can say it's back -- but not for all items - not even for all eBay motor items. |

Ok, new beta is out.
Not entirely sure if it fixes all cases.
Let me know if there are still any problems. |

Beta resolved all auctions except for one. I think it's an anomaly - the item is on a 50% off sale for the remaining couple days.
Thanks for the quick fix. It's appreciated. |
