|
|
Hi,
Using 2.5.2(Mac).
The Time left column is acting strangely. Some, but not all, newly found sieve items (eBay US) are arriving in AS as already expired. Clicking the item shows that many of the 'expired' items are actually newly listed. Clicking the item also *sometimes* changes the Time left column to the correct time remaining. |

In addition, AS is pulling up ALL auctions, in spite of my "End in 3 Days" setting in options. |

Funny, my 2.5.2 on Mac OS 10.6.4 is doing the same thin, but only after clicking to view an auction listed the first time. Before that click the time remaining is erroneous and then as the browser window is opening they all can be seen to change to "Ended 3m ago." And then the "... XXm ago" seems to update in three minute increments ...... |

Also ... Many auction titles do not correspond to the items being offered!
eBay changing things again!

Hi everybody ! I hope i am in the right thread here.
I still have problems with the time left column. My english is not
the best so i thought attaching a picture here would be more understandable
to you all.
All auction marked green seem okay to me because the time left is shown correctly.
But what about those auctions marked red ?
Why there is no real time left visible ? All auction are currently running
on ebay.de, so you can verify the problem yourself if you want by using the auction number or maybe finding the item using its description.
I am using the latest beta available to me in the moment (2521), running
the java client under kubuntu lucid lynx 10.04 LTS.
Have a look at the screenshot / picture i made of the problem here:
http://wasted-bytes.de/pic.jpg
Sorry i didn't get it managed to put the picture inside this message, sorry for the inconvenience. |

woooooooops !
After sending my post before i started auctionsieve again, and it told me
version 253 was available, so i installed this version. I know, the previous version was a beta one, this 253 should be a "normal" update, right ?
Whatever, i still have the problems with the strange appearance of the
time left column with some (not all) of the auctions. Have a look at the url
in my first post with a screenshot. No change, still these strange
"Current bid" , "Starting bid", "Price:EUR:XXX". But all of these auctions
show up with the time left correctly when you view them (as normally)
in your browser. Why does Auctionsieve behaves so strange with some of
the auctions ?
Or maybe i didn't understand something ?!
----------------
Whatever, besides its minor errors, i am happy you wrote this
helpful program, nev !!!! THANKS !
It is of great help and clearly reduces the time usually beeing wasted
looking over the same crap all over again and again.
Of course it is possible the reduce the amount of crap you usually get
by using some "car -motorcycle" searching in ebay, but i am looking
for watches most of the time so it is helpful to say "I want Make/Model A until H, but not I-Z and not automatic, no led etc... This is just an example, in reality i do much more complicated searches now with auctionsieve, i believe some of these searches would not be possible
in the usual single search line in ebay.
I spent some hours giving the real thrash words and of course the catch words to it, and i can tell everyone, IT IS WORTH THE TIME when you do some fine tuning with auctionsieve ! You won't miss the usual ebay search.

Hey stagediver, thanks for the post and the screenshot!
I knew there may still be problems, however I wanted to get a release out that would fix the eBay changes for most people.
May be a few days before I get the time to fix it. In the meantime, let me know of any other oddities. |

No problem, nev !
It's your program and we are the users and we did not pay a single cent
for the proggy. So we are not in the position to force you with updates,
it is your free time you invest for auctionsieve.
All the best wishes to you and your family (i have seen the photos on
your new homepage), there are more important things in life than stupid ebay crap !
Keep up the good work !
"Prost" from germany (i have a pils beer right now, hehehe) !!! |

Uhmmm, I've gotten a bit confused. Is this working now in the latest betas or are you still getting the problems with these euro items? |
