Some sieves were broken by ebay page updates - thanks to the people who notified me! The Time Left wasn't being retrieved correctly because they mucked around with their column ordering. Sometimes the PayPal column is on the left of the Price - sometimes on the right!
Let me know if there are still any problems.
A few other minor bugs were fixed as well.
And of course there's all the stuff from the 1.6.4.1 beta. |

|
|
Hello all. I just installed and started using AuctionSieve a few minutes. So far, it looks like a keeper!
However (uh oh!), there appears to be one catch so far. I am running ver. 1.6.5 (2003 copyright?). Whenever I click a picture or the "View" link, I get this error message:
Quote: | Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. |
I have checked a couple of sieves to be certain it was not the item itself. It seems to happen to all of them. Even selecting/deselecting TOOLS>>OPTIONS>>BROWSER>>FORCE CREATION OF NEW BROWSER WINDOW WHEN CLICKING VIEW or USE ALTERNATIVE "VIEW ALL" BROWSER LOADING does nothing.
Any idea what I need to do/set? I am running WinXP SP2 with Avant v10.0 as my browser.
Thanks for any pointers. And keep up the good work. |

Welcome to the forums Gb!
If you go to Sart->Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs, then click on Set Program Access and Defaults over on the left and then on the Custom dropdown, what do you have chosen as your web browser? |

"Use my current web browser" is selected.
Also, "Enable access to this program" is checked. |

Open up Windows Explorer and go to the directory where you installed AuctionSieve - usually C:\Program Files\AuctionSieve. Then go into the tmp directory and try double-clicking one of the html files.
Does that fire up your browser properly? |

Do you have multiple users on your machine?
And could you have installed AuctionSieve as a different user to the one you're logged in as?
And does the user you installed it with have admin rights? |

Hi Nev,
I went to add a couple of new searches today and when I go to choose the category nothing happens. The choose category window opens but does not populate.
Can you help?
Regards,
Martyn |
