|
|
Hi.. gradually rebuilding my auction searches in auctionsieve after a hardware failure left me unable to use prospector any more (apparently the free version is keyed to a hardware id, which they won't reset unless you 'upgrade' to a paid version.. fair enough, but I can't justify that for the frequency I used it for)
My auction titles (ebay uk if it helps) are coming back truncated, if I open the item in a browser, there are more characters to the titles, but auctionsieve is only showing 'most' of the title, which prevents post-filtering out of listings with details in the omitted part. Sadly this is where many people tag listing titles with things worth filtering on.
I noticed 2.5.7 included "Support for long titles" but couldn't see a way to enable this ?
Lastly, is there a way to store a regular expression in the trashwords for a sieve ? I'd created quite a few I used to use, which I can get close to by adding lots of trashwords, but regexps would keep them a bit tidier. |

I too am finding this issue with truncated auction titles - it affects trash works and catch words equally.
I guess it's to do with when ebay recently increased the allowable length of the auction title on their site?

I'm hoping to get some time this week to work on AuctionSieve.
Thanks everyone for your patience! |

Ok, new beta is out with a fix for the truncated titles.
Re regexp - it's on my todo list... |
