This application cannot start since no appropriate JVM was found.

Getting this error as I try to install AS on a new WINDOWS 10 laptop. But it's not true. I even installed a previous version of java 1.8.0_211-b12 which I know plays nice with AS as that's my setup on another laptop. But no help. AS cannot seem to find java no matter what I do.

Help please?

Ok, I think I have a solution for this.

You need to go here : https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
and download the "Windows Offline" setup.

Note: make sure you get that one (the 32 bit version), not the 64 bit "Windows Offline (64-bit)" version.
