Good news - my hotspot works OK at the moment, before the 1000s of general public have arrived.

Thanks Andrew.
I've had a look. Yes, it's the dreaded browser checking in this case, not just weird new eBay page formatting.
I've released a new beta which has a list of 5 cookies that it rotates through, switching to the next one for every new request.
I'm not sure whether this will have any positive effect in your case where, as you say, it definitely seems to be IP related. But it's worth a try. |

v3.2.2.2 just the same for me: 97% of first sieve (which I am happy to live with) but nothing for further sieves. |

Just wondering. Where do I access the beta version? |

Run AuctionSieve, then select menu Tools->Check for beta updates |

Thanks Nev, new beta definitely worth a try... Unfortunately for me the protection seems to kick in at about the same time as before. Also I observe each cookie doesn't activate the protection at exactly the same time, so some parts of each sieve get skipped, then the next few pages download results, as the sieve progresses more cookies get protected until the same point of everything protected is reached and no more results download.
Skipping about IPs with a VPN works makes it work for a bit longer... but unfortunately not long enough to finish even 1/3 of my sieves before the errors due to the protection are constant. (I saw the same in the festival field with the previous beta but the general public started arriving and I lost phone signal, so couldn't update you.) |

The beta is working for me better than it was. I think it has fixed the requests for me.
But I am finding some of my searches are returning a lot more results which I think is more an eBay issue than Auctionsieve as eBay seem to present a lot more overseas results now for some reason. I do find if I have a sieve with like 10-12000 results and have other seives loaded .... I will eventually get a java heap error. |

I thought this was just me using a VPN... (and many new results are to be expected as AS hasn't worked for a while?) But yes I am seeing this too; I got 100s of results from the USA in particular that are unwanted/unwelcome.
Also, the most recent protection/blocking lasted 24 hours before I was able to run sieves that downloaded results again. EDIT a situation which lasted about 5 minutes and less than 3 sieves before again, no results... |
