Hello,
i'm a new user and I don't find the aswer in the old forum messages.
Why in the search, the program give as result only 50 auctions?
I try the same search on website of ebay and there are more auctions!
Is a program limit?
Thanks. |

Did you press Stop?
There are 50 items on the search result pages that eBay returns.
After clicking "Get Auctions", AuctionSieve will go and retrieve all the pages of results. Next to the "Get Auctions" button it will say things like "Getting page 1 of 3", then 2 of 3 etc. |

No, I don't press stop.
The search is very simple. I search the word "monitor".
AuctionSieve near the stop button return: "Got 1 of 1 pages New auctions: 50".
In the results windows show: "Sieve results - 50 auctions (50 total - 0 filtered).
If go to http://guzzardi.homelinux.net you have the screen capture of the progam on my computer.
Thank you.

I just get the apache test page when I go there.
When I do a search for monitor (using US ebay), I get the popup dialog which says "there are 724 pages of results - do you want to continue?"
If you click "no", it will stop and you'll have received 1 page worth of results - 50 items.
If you click "yes", it will keep going, retrieving more pages of results - you can click "stop" at any time. Although I highly advise you specify some more search criteria to limit the results. 724 pages is over 36000 items! |

Ok, for the capture file excuse me but I use the italian index page, and when you go to web page, the server send the english original page.
There is a copy in "http://mio.discoremoto.virgilio.it/pietro_guzzardi/". The file is capture.jpg.
I understand where is the problem!
I use the italian ebay (ebay.it) in search options.
With this site the program show only 50 results.
With ebay.com there are thousands results. |

Hi everybody!
Me too I'm Italian, and I'm experiencing the same problem.
It looks like Auctionsieve returns only 50 results if configured to search in the Italian eBay store, indipendently from what is the effective number of results from the site www.ebay.it.
As an example, a search for "hard disk" on eBay.it gives 1538 results. Auctionsieve, configured to search the Italian store, returns only 50 results.
I tried the same procedure with www.eBay.com, and everything went smooth (results from the site = results from Auctionsieve).
Ciao,
Guido |

O gee - this bug has been in there a long time.
Ok, it should now work properly for Italy (and a number of other international sites that had the same bug).
Try out the latest beta (go to the Tools->Check for beta updates menu). |
