|
|
Hello there
First time poster and fresh user of AuctionSieve Great program I have to say and I think I'll use from now on. I played around with it for the last few days so see what I can do and it looks like it would really help me to efficiently look through all the stuff on ebay to find those small little treasure burried under all the tons of rubble :)
Looked around here a bit but didn't find an answer for a small problem I have:
My only question for now would be why I am not able to see the "Ended" date of an auction once it shows up in the "Price history". Instead of a date I only see "Unknown" instead. The only exception is one auction that, strangely enough, shows the time since the auction has ended. But all the other auction just give me "Unknown" as the end time. The same happens to all items in the Watchlist once the auction has ended. While before the end I was able to see the time remaining until auction close it just changes to "Unknown" once the time is over.
My System is:
Windows XP SP2 (latest MDAC installed, all hotfixes installed as well)
German Version
AuctionSieve is 1.6.3
ebay.ch is used as the default ebay site here
I hope someone can help me around this little problem :)
By the way. Is there a possibility to show the actual closing date of the auction once it shows up in the "Price History" ? I think that would be more helpful than "Ended Xd ago"
Have a nice day and thanks alot for making such a cool software for free!

Hi Jupp,
I'll have a look at the "Unknown" stuff - probably the item pages have changed a bit.
I'll see about adding the option to display ending date instead of "x days ago" - I'd like to provided options to specify what columns you'd like to display etc. |

Jupp, can you give me item numbers for some of the items that show "Unknown"? |

Sure
The only item that does not show "Unknown" is this one here:
5922501027
All others (40 at the moment) show "Unkown", for example:
5928679025
5928192147
5927928868
5925493794
5925093612
5928649908
Hope that helps some. If there is anything else where I can help just let me know
Jupp
Edit: I should perhaps mention that the "Unkown" already shows up in the Watchlist once the auction is over and I click on "Refresh All". |

Weird, they come up ok for me. ("It works for me!" is what all programmers say...)
Ok, let's do some more investigation.
Do the following :
- make sure you have the latest beta (Run AuctionSieve, Select Tools->Check for beta updates)
- go to the Price History
- check the box for one of the "Unkown" items
- press Refresh
- now go to the directory where you installed AuctionSieve
- find a file called ebayitem.html
- send it to me |

Just wanted to give a small update
I installed 1.6.4 yesterday and now I get the first ended auction without "unknown". Looks like something was changed to fix this I'll see if it is really fixed when the next batch of items end on ebay tomorrow. |

Hey, there's one other thing you can now do.
Go to the Price History and select all the 'unknown' items and click on Refresh - it will update them all! |
