This morning (7.45am UK time) when I click 'View' on my selections I get:

" This listing is unavailable.
This listing () has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number.
If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it cancelled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay."

I simply don't believe it. I am using 'New Today' for all items and 'Ignore auctions already seen' is ticked.

It seems that the problem is with ebay.co.uk and the problem has existed all day. Have just switched to ebay.com and all seems to be well again.

I see this occasionally on ebay.com. If I really want to see the problem auction I will copy the exact title from auctionsieve and past it in ebay's search field in a web browser. The auction will always show up with this method. Trying to save that auction to the watchlist will result in perpetual error messages until deleted.
