First off, this program is great. Much better interface and accurate results compaired to the other programs I've tried.
Does AuctionSieve work in real time? What I mean by that is does it give the same results back for a given search string that searching by ebay.com would. And is it as up to date as ebay is?
I have a dilemma. I'm looking for a hot item (the iPhone) on ebay. But I only want to search buy it now listings because of the microsoft cashback program. I found out how to do that in AuctionSieve. But iPhones that are buyitnow in my price range ($200-$300) sell in 20 minutes. I never get to the auction in time.
Can I setup AuctionSieve to search my search string every 5 minutes and then alert me if a NEW item is found that matches my criteria? A pop up and sound alert would be great.
This way I could find a buyitnow item as soon as it is listed and get a chance to buy it before anyone else does.
If AuctionSieve doesn't do alerts and automatic searching is there another program that does (in real time)?
Thanks. And great program. Best I've used yet.
**Note I've used Auction Alert but it is terrible. When I specify a min. price for listings it only shows bid prices in that range and can't apply a min and max to buy it now prices like AuctionSieve can. |

Hi chkminus,
Yes, the auctions you get in AuctionSieve should be exactly the same realtime results as from a search on ebay.
The automatic update is an often requested feature and definitely on my todo list.
Thanks for your encouragement! |
