Hi,

Have made the leap from Windows to Mac and am wondering if I'll be able to migrate my sieves or will I have to start from scratch? Any tips to make the transition would be appreciated.

Windows XP Pro
Mac OS X 10.6.2
AuctionSieve 2.0.0

Thanks,
Jeanine

Hi Jeanine,

Here's what you need to do.

1. Get your sieve files from XP -
- Assuming you installed the default location, open up Windows Explorer and go here :
C:\Program Files\AuctionSieve\
- You'll see a bunch of files like 1.info.sieve
- Grab all the files that end in .sieve
- You can also grab watchlist.txt and pricehistory.txt

2. Put them on your mac
- Open up the folder where you installed AuctionSieve
- Control click the AuctionSieve icon and select "Show Package Contents" from the pop-up menu
- Navigate to the Contents->Resources->Java folder
- Put the files there

Start up AuctionSieve and you should be able to see all your sieves!
