Unpleasant surprise this afternoon. Category search sieves are failing, immediately stopping and pulling zero results. Retrys accomplish nothing.
However, sieves constructed by search term, and restricted to a specific category, those work. |

Thanks Nev!
In the meantime, I went into the .info files and converted my category sieves into keyword searches - but no keyword - restricted to category. I'm no coder, so I'm very proud of myself. When I get time, I'll switch them back, but keep those templates. |

Awesome! Well done.
I've occasionally considered getting rid of category based sieves and auto-converting everyone's category based sieves into search based sieves with the appropriate settings.
How would you feel about that? |

I prefer the search-based sieve because there are so many options to fine-tune the search.
I have noticed, though, that category-based sieves seem to finish faster, particularly in categories with many, many results. Or is that just my imagination? |
